According to analysis carried out by the Guardian (British Newspaper), Engineers have the happiest job in the world, closely followed by teachers and nurses.
Interestingly, they discovered there was no link between a high salary and happiness.
So what does make a job teaching a happy one?
Apparently, “watching children make leaps in learning,” is amongst one of the most pleasant part of being a swimming teacher. This is what makes teaching swimming a happy job.
Helping a child or an adult through a swimming journey is an exceptional experience. We know the reasons why swimming can make children happy.
Going from not knowing an important life skill like swimming to a stage that one could be so good at it, so they can do it confidently and competently, does wonder for one’s sense of self-worth and self-esteem, regardless of age.
Being able to help people to feel happy and good about themselves is a wonderful privilege.
