Swimming Pool in Wimbledon for Summer Holidays

We use the 25-meter swimming pool of   Wimbledon High School (WHS) at the heart of Wimbledon in Merton, southwest London, for our summer holiday swimming crash courses. The address is: Wimbledon High School (WHS), Mansel Road, London SW19 4AB Wimbledon High School (WHS) is a private girls' school at the heart of Wimbledon, in London borough of Merton in south London. The swimming pool is inside of the school so, you have to walk through the main school's gate to the building which has the swimming pool inside of it.

How to Get to the Pool:

Wimbledon High's School is only a short walk from Wimbledon's main train station. Wimbledon train station is one of the main train stations both for overground and underground trains. To use the underground, Wimbledon station is the final stop on one of the District Line's routes. Wimbledon High School (WHS) is also located very close to several bus stops which connect Wimbledon to other parts of southwest London like Vauxhall, Southfields, Wandsworth, Clapham, Rynes Park and Kingston, to Wimbledon which you can use to get to WHS. Bus 156 : connects Vauxhall, Southfields, Wandsworth to Wimbledon station   Bus 57 & 131: Connects Kingston & Rynes Park to Wimbledon station  

Wimbledon High's Swimming Pool Specifications

  It has a 25-meter pool which we have used for our 2023 summer swimming crash courses. Watch this space for more dates for our crash courses for 2024 school holiday. This swimming pool has 5 Lanes and it is 12 meters wide. The minimum depth of this swimming pool is 93 cm (0.93 m) and the maximum depth of this pool is 243.00 cm (2.43 m).

Water temperature is kept between 28-29 C.

With warm water temperature and both deep end and shallow end, this pool is very suitable for teaching all levels of swimmers; complete beginners to advanced swimmers who need to practice diving and racing. So, we can easily teach from complete beginners to advanced swimmers who need to practice diving and racing. WHS has a firm commitment to swimming. Swimming is a key sport at the school so their swimming pool is well looked after.

Changing Rooms

There are two separate changing rooms for boys and girls, toilets, and a shower facility. There are no lockers at this facility so, please don't bring any valuables with you. Plenty of hooks in both changing rooms that you can use for hanging your bags and clothes.

Parking to Use the Swimming Pool at Wimbledon High's School

There is no free parking on site for this venue. There is 'pay & display' street parking available around the school or there are a couple of car parks close by. The closest car park is St George's Road Car Park in St George's Road (SW19 4DR) which offers the option to pay hourly. You can express your interest for our Swimming Crash Course at this venue
