School holidays crash courses for 2024 Spring and Summer holidays and half-terms will run at Aspire Centre’s 25-meters pool or at one of the pools in Wimbledon.
The half-term crash courses will be 5-Day swimming crash courses at either Aspire Centre in Wandsworth or in Wimbledon
October Half-term break: W/C 23th Oct 2023; Monday 23th to Friday 27th of Oct 2023
February Half-term break: W/C th of February 2024; Monday 14th to Friday 16th February 2024.
In every week of the crash course, the booking is for a 5-Day intensive swimming course.
This means every day from Monday to Friday is one lesson/session.
Any swimming crash courses for school summer holidays in 2024 which will run at Wimbledon High School’s pool at the heart of Wimbledon will be announced later.
Booking options are for 30 mins or 60 mins lessons for 5 consecutive days of each week of a crash course.
Prices for a 5-Day course for 30 mins lessons format (5x lessons each lesson being 30 mins):
The minimum booking for summer courses is for a week-long (5-Day) course.

The new term dates for toddler classes starting in September 2023 will be announced later.
The lesson time is 10.30 am.
Our classes at this venue are suitable for children under 3.5 year olds. Every child has to be in water with a parent or a trusted adult.
Lesson Time & Fee for ‘Parent & Child’ Swimming lessons at Putney Leisure Centre
The fees only covers our swim lessons.
When you attend our swim lessons, the cost of the lessons is not inclusive of the cost of free swimming at Putney Leisure Centre’s pool before or after our swim lessons.
If you wish to go to Putney Leisure centre for a family swim, you need to contact the centre directly.

Saturday Afternoon Termly Lessons: Wimbledon College, Southwest London (SW19 4NS):

Wimbledon College’s pool is going through a major refurb and work is to be completed in November/December 2023. There will be no swimming lessons offered at this pool for Autumn 2023.

Easter 2021 Crash Course
Various lockdowns have held back my daughter’s swimming development so we opted for a crash 4 day course over Easter and she has come away from it much more confident and with a recognisable stroke as opposed to doggy paddle!

Although I have only attended two lessons, Marjan’s bubbly personality makes you feel instantly at ease. During the lessons, the pool was not very busy which is a good thing (as opposed to public pools) for those who are anxious.
I would strongly recommend to adults who have experienced trauma with water at a certain time in their lives.

My son has been going to swimming lessons at Blue Wave in Wimbledon for a few years now and thoroughly enjoys it. The teaching is great and the lessons well run. Helps to prepare him for when we finally get to go on holiday again!

Excellent results
My son is 4 years-old and we were looking for weekend swimming classes in a nice environment that could bring good results. After some research we chose Blue Wave Swim. Our son has been having private lessons since the end of 2018 and he is progressing very well. Superb Swimming School in Wimbledon
My daughter, who is now 7 years old, started with blue wave two years back and we have been very happy with her progress at the school. Initially we started with group lessons but once she got comfortable in water we moved her to semi private lessons, which made a lot of difference in her ability to learn swimming. As part of the smaller group she is better bonded with other children in the group and gets more attention from the swimming instructor, which is helping her advance her swimming skills. During her 2 years with blue wave, swimming instructors for my daughter have changed and while continuity in learning was maintained, I think this could have been managed better. Needless to say, she still goes and enjoys her time here and looks forward to her class every week. Overall we are very pleased with Blue Wave and would recommend them without any hesitation.
