In England, every 6 weeks children are off school either for a week or two- these short breaks are known as school half-term breaks. These holidays are on the top of longer school holidays like Xmas, Easter and Summer which could run for much longer.
Whether you are looking for ways to keep your children active on days that they are off from school or you are trying to make up for weeks or months that your child didn’t get any swim lessons, swimming crash course are excellent opportunities.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic , children have missed out on swimming lessons for a very long time and if you are one of those parents who is looking for ways to make up for all the lost swim lessons, crash courses are great options.
But rather than having one lesson every week during school term time, children can have 30 mins or 60 mins lessons a day, in one week or two, during weekdays during school holidays.
During school holidays you can book up 10 lessons over one o two weeks. During half-term breaks, crash courses are run over one week.
In this way, you can, very conveniently squeezed up equivalent to 10 weekly of lessons in one week.
Our goal is to boost every swimmers’ water confidence and ability to swim properly with a good technique.
Our half-term and school holidays crash courses, which will be delivered in 25 meter pool in Southfields (Aspire Centre SW18 5JU), we can offer lessons for all levels.
The younger and less experienced children who are normally at beginners and beginners plus levels- get a massive boost in their confidence and have a chance to be introduced and learn the more basic technical skills like putting face in the water, kicking legs and how to float on front and back independently.
More experienced swimmers (stage 4 and above of Swim England National Teaching Plan for Swimming) can do the 60-minute classes with a focus on breath control, body position, and propulsion in the water and working more on the four competitive strokes.
For children who already have a solid swimming foundation, technique and improving stamina is also part of intensive classes.
